Dust, debris, oil and other residue all come to rest on your warehouse floor. It waits to be walked through, slipped on or kicked back into the air by your employees. Mopping alone can’t keep an industrial warehouse clean which is why many companies invest in an industrial sweeper and/or scrubber for their facility.
Unique Floor Surfaces
Brushes play a major role in the cleaning process and your facility may require different brushes. The wrong brush can damage your floor or fail to clean the area. Most manufacturers offer a variety of brushes, each made for specific floor surfaces and cleaning applications.
Residue
If residue has built up on the floor, your company may consider investing in a second, more aggressive, set of brushes. An industrial sweeper scrubber comes standard with brushes which are ideal for scrubbing and deep cleaning; however, to cut through the original thick grime, a more aggressive brush returns the floors to a reasonable condition and saves unnecessary wear on their standard brush.
Product Damage and Waste
Other benefits to using the right brush include protecting equipment and not wasting cleaning floor chemical. When operators can’t get an area clean, they tend to push harder, putting pressure on the brushes and its scrub deck. Or, the operator may attribute the issue to floor chemical, adding more as an attempt to get the surface clean.
Depending on your application, industrial sweeper scrubber brushes remain in good working condition for 6-12 months. Replacement should occur as the brushes show visible wear or at the recommendation of your service technician.
