Our History

Founded in 1978, ProLift Toyota Material Handling began as Louisville Lift Truck, a forklift rental house in Louisville, KY. Since then, ProLift has grown into a full-service forklift and material handling dealership, boasting 13 locations, approximately 700 employees and multiple product lines.

A Toyota Material Handling Company

After being a Toyota dealer for decades, Toyota Industries North America (TINA) purchased ProLift in January 2007. Not only is ProLift a multiple recipient of the President’s Award for Toyota, our values and mission are consistent – a focus on customers and continuous improvement.

The growth of ProLift beyond forklifts can be attributed to the focus on our customers. As their needs changed, we wanted to continue to support them – to be the only phone call they have to make, and be the team that knew the best solution because we knew their business strengths and challenges.

Help to Carry the Load
We’re proud to partner with Toyota Material Handling in supporting the American Red Cross. In addition to providing forklifts during natural disasters for clean-up efforts and distribution of essential items, our ProLift associates installed fire alarms in personal homes across our local communities.

Local Community Partners
ProLift supports our employees and their volunteer efforts with local non-profit organizations. Each year we offer up to 8 hours of paid volunteer services to every associate.
